You should also bring a pen to make notes.
It is very important that wine is served in the correct style of glass.
We highly recommend the ISO wine glass, which is the standard glass preferred
by the wine industry. The glasses are perfect for all wine tasting and
have been specifically designed to bring out the best in a wide spectrum
of wine styles.

when they join.
Not joining yet? We will provide you with 2 glasses for the session.
Or purchase a set of glasses online for collection

Can I TRY BEFORE I BUY a membership?
You may try a Mondovino tasting once before you must become a member.
Something’s come up and I CAN'T MAKE IT to the session!
Sorry, we can’t usually make refunds. If there is a waiting list
for an event, we may be able to sell your ticket on. In this case we have
to charge you 10% administration charge. You CAN pass your ticket on to
another wine enthusiast though – your substitute will tell you what
you missed!
Can members bring a FRIEND?
Yes – Members can introduce a friend to a Mondovino tasting before
they join.
Your friend can order their ticket online and must quote
the Member’s name on application. Non-members can come to 1 event
before they must join. We will provide 2 tasting glasses for your guest.
WHAT HAPPENS at a tasting?
The “tutors” are hand-picked for their knowledge but more importantly
for their passion in an area of wine that is close to their heart – if
a violinist loves Bach he can communicate his passion more effectively
to his audience – the same can be said for wine.
The tastings last between 1 ½ -2 hours and you will be served between 6 and 8 wines.
Unlike walkabout tastings, the session is held seated at tables where you can examine your wine more easily, write notes and line your glasses up for comparison.
WHERE are the events?
Our events are held in venues both in the City Centre and South Manchester.
WHEN do the Tastings take place?
The tastings usually start at 7.00pm and are held once a month.
